The root pieces are bigger than I expected, so one or two go a long way in a mug. There's a natural sweetness that comes through without adding honey, and it's become my nightly wind-down cup.

I've been steeping a few strands of this licorice root in my evening tea for about two weeks, and the sweetness it adds is mellow rather than sugary. It works well alongside ginger too.
